In 2007, we began working with Southern California Edison employees. We provide each employee with a complimentary, detailed, and personalized financial plan. Our core belief is that a customized financial plan lays the groundwork for long-term financial security, which precedes any investment management advice. Over time, this simple offer of free and thoughtful advice has become a significant part of our wealth advisory practice.
Presently, we are proud to manage over $181 million in assets on behalf of Edison employees. Our financial plans have been written for over 475 employees across various departments and locations, spanning Los Angeles, Orange, and Riverside Counties, as well as offices in Ventura, Visalia, Tehachapi, Bishop, Victorville, and Palm Springs. Through our experience, we have learned that with prudent management, the retirement package provided by Southern California Edison can serve as a strong financial foundation for a fulfilling and enjoyable retirement.
As Guardian Financial Partners, we maintain a custodial relationship with the Charles Schwab Corporation. Edison's retirement plan members have the option to utilize a self-directed Schwab Personal Choice Retirement Account (PCRA), giving Guardian the ability to manage an employee's 401(k). This is a significant advantage for employees seeking professional guidance in managing their retirement savings.
As part of our service offering, we keep Edison employees informed about the interest rate changes affecting grandfathered and non-grandfathered pensions. We send out four updates a year during the summer months, providing insights into upcoming changes for the following calendar year and how they will impact individuals. Understanding these rate changes empowers employees to make informed decisions that can positively influence their overall retirement strategy.
